Overcoming Loss Group Experience

About OLGE

Overcoming Loss Group Experience was founded by Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral, Austell GA, Founder and Senior Pastor, Bishop Dale C. Bronner, out of a critical ministry need for the ongoing support of grieving individuals in its congregation and community.

We are excited to offer this invaluable resource to the members of Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral and the community at large.

It is believed that the average person finds it difficult to successfully move past significant loss in their lives without support from others - praying, thinking, talking, writing and crying through their pain. This is all part of the normal grief process.

We pray you will come walk with us as we guide you through nine (9) sessions of small group, grief ministry.

How Do I Qualify?

You must be at least 18 years of age.

You must have experienced the death of a loved one in your life:

  • Loss of a Spouse

  • Loss of a Child

  • Loss of a Parent

  • Loss of a Sibling

  • Loss of a Family Member

  • Loss of a Friend or Companion

You must be willing to do the work

  • Adjusting to your world “after your loss”, will require your commitment to complete the suggested activities of the overcoming loss group experience

  • You will be allowed to move at your own pace, however,  the effort you put into your grief work process will be in direct proportion to your rate of recovery.

Commit to seeing the process through

  • There are nine (9) sessions in the overcoming loss group experience. You are allowed to miss no more than 2 sessions without repeating the class.

Complete an application and submit it to the ministry.

How Many Participants Will Be in the Experience?

In order to maintain the proper level of participant to OLGE Minister interaction, which will deliver optimal results, class size is limited to fifteen (15) participants.

Where Will the Sessions Be Held?

Overcoming Loss Group Experience will be held at the international headquarters of Christian Alliance of Pastors, Inc. (CAP), at 7680 The Bluffs, Suite 100, in Austell, Georgia 30168, a Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral organization.

What time are the sessions?

The first session for both the Wednesday and Satruday classes are held from 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM, on a Saturday. This is the longest of the classes because it is the first time the participants will share their grief story.  Second and subsequent classes are held:

  • Wednesday Class - 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Saturday Class - 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

What Can I Expect?

  • To be supported by a group of loving brothers and sisters who are dedicated to helping you walk through your grief journey

  • To be allowed to go through the grief work process at your own pace

  • To be challenged  to dig deeper and go further than you ever have before in you grief work

  • To be able to express yourself openly, in a small group, confidential, supportive forum
